The AA Restaurant Guide is overseen by Simon Numphud, who creates a ‘good read’ every year, with excellent descriptions, articles, colour photographs, clear awards system and a useful web version. We're proud to have been included in the 2012 guide with the following review:
"This tiny neighbourhood restaurant on Glasgow’s vibrant Byres Road has a strong local following who appreciate its unbuttoned approach and the kitchen’s creative mission. It is an elbow-to-elbow sort of space with a pocket-sized downstairs area, and a mini-mezzanine above, all decorated with colourful artwork, and kept ticking over by casually dressed, on-the-ball staff. The chefs beavering away in the open-to-view kitchen aren’t scared to experiment with novel flavour combinations, so a starter might bring together a galette of Jerusalem artichoke purée with roast beetroot, figs, crumbled feta, sumac and roast onion vinaigrette."
